Obituary of Francis J. Weldon

Frank J. Weldon, age 78, of Haddon Twp, died suddenly October 19, 2018 at home.  Father of Daria (Beau Douglas), Dave Martin (Nicole) and Amanda Basic (Alija).  Brother of Joseph of Feasterville, PA and Mary Carre of Leesburg, VA. 

He was member of St Stephen's Parish, Phila and a 1957 graduate of Northeast Catholic High School. He also attended St Joseph's College. 

Frank held many construction jobs over the years and worked for Prince Company for over 20 years.   Every New Year’s Day since 1955, Frank would be at the annual Toilet Bowl game playing football with all of his buddies from the old neighborhood. He was a proud member of the Tioga Athletic Commission. He could fix just about anything or tell you how to do it. He loved sports, history, antique cars, Monty Python and playing the lottery. Most afternoon's Frank could be found at the Old Rail Tavern enjoying a Bud with friends, most notably Bob Walsh and Jane Scheffler.

People will tell you that Frank was just a really nice guy.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Thursday from 7-9 PM at the Falco/Caruso & Leonard Pennsauken Funeral Home, 6600 N. Browning Rd in Pennsauken and Friday from 10-11 AM at St. Joseph the Worker Parish, Church of St. Aloysius, 37 W. Haddon Ave in Oaklyn.  A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11 AM at the Church.
