Maureen Nelson, Co-Founder & CEO

"As a wife & mother of 3, I have always been connected to the South Jersey area. I grew up in Haddonfield, moved to Haddon Heights for a few years, then landed in Cherry Hill. I grew up loving every sport possible, but then honed in on field hockey when I was in the 5th grade playing for Christ the King. Once I graduated high school from Camden Catholic, I continued my sports dreams & played Division 1 Field Hockey for Saint Joseph's University. The minute I graduated college, I kicked off my professional sales & coaching career. Many lessons learned in the eyes of the coach & in the eyes of corporate sales that I will forever be thankful for.

​Now with my boys running off to their own sporting events, my coaching career came to an end after nearly 15 years. But, as doors close, new doors open & I found myself getting more involved in the boy's school to help fundraise & organize events. I quickly found myself on the PTA Board wrapping fundraiser baskets into the wee hours of the night. I have always loved to craft, I have always loved to share the right gift when needed most, & I certainly have seen in these busy parenting days what service others could benefit from.

"Hello, I'm Tracy, and I am thrilled to introduce myself as one of two driving forces behind Kindness Gathered. As a wife and a proud mother of three amazing, energetic boys, I have called Cherry Hill, NJ my home for nearly two decades.

My educational journey led me to Penn State, where I earned a degree in marketing, and later, I pursued an MBA from Indiana University. Equipped with a solid academic foundation, I embarked on a fulfilling career as a marketing executive, making significant contributions to various organizations. Most recently, I had the privilege of leading the customer care team of a global manufacturing company, where I emphasized the importance of empathy and compassion in business practices.

However, my true passion lies in making a positive impact on my community. I actively engage as a volunteer, coaching youth sports teams and dedicating my time as a committed member of the Parent-Teacher Association at my children's school. These experiences have enriched my life and reinforced my belief in the transformative power of kindness.

Motivated by my deep love for doing good and creating a stronger community, I co-founded Kindness Gathered. It's unique group gifting service that combines the joy of giving with the beauty of supporting local businesses.
