I did not know Patrick very well or very long, but it was funny how I met him. It was several years ago in the St. Peter's gym during a basketball game. I went over to the snack stand to grab a hot dog. One of the ladies there told me there was only 1 hot dog left, and it was for Patrick McGowan. I replied, "well he is not here so can I buy it?" They said you better not, he is a big guy. I asked them to point him out to me, and when they did, I said ok just give me a pretzel and let him have the hot dog! After I got to know him and spoke with him, I realized he was just a nice guy, a real gentleman.
I wish I had got to know him better, my family and I are heartbroken. .........Stuart Doctorovitz
