Service Information: Tuesday February 17, 2015 11:00 AM Church of St. John, Park and Lees Aves.,Collingswood,NJ Biography: On February 12, 2015; Beloved husband of 53 years to Patricia (nee Dragone); Devoted father of Louis Cappelli Jr., Esquire, Lynne Ann and her husband Dr. Joseph Sireci; Cherished grandfather of Louis III, Gabrielle, John, Zachary, Julia, Mia & Joseph; Dear brother of Ida Fortini & Gloria Cappelli ; Caring brother in law to Irene & Jerry McKee; Predeceased by his late sisters Connie DiGiacomo & Virginia Fanelli; Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews & wonderful friends. Prior to retirement, Louis was employed for BHPRSD with Triton High School for 34 years. He began as Vice Principal and spent his remaining 24 years at the school as Principal. Louis was a proud member and past President of the Order Sons of Italy Lodge 494 and the State Lodge. He was also a member of the Board of Directors of the Cerebral Palsy School of Camden County. Louis was a Board of Trustees member of Camden County College, and lastly served as a past President of the Collingswood Board of Education. Louis was well known and loved by many. His family will forever hold onto the memories of his love of his Italian culture and the enjoyment of making homemade wine. FAMILY was everything to him. Relatives & friends are invited to the Visitation & Funeral on Monday from 6 to 9 PM and Tuesday from 9:45AM to 10:45 AM at the Blessed of Teresa Calcutta Parish-St. John's Church location, 809 Park Ave, Collingswood, NJ 08108. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM. Entombment Calvary Cemetery in Cherry Hill.
