Speed admired his racing team, consisting of Richard Allen and Joe Cunningham for their expertise in their field, Racing Cars!!! A long time member of the National Hot Rod Association (NHRA), National Rifle Association (NRA), and National Fisherman & Angler Association of America (NFAAA), Speed loved teaching and showing the youth about the racetrack, how a car operates and how to take care of a car. Speed's love for repairing cars was of the utmost. An avid driver, Speed would drive his family and friends everywhere and allow them to see and experience something outside the world of which they had come from.
