Smith  (nee Schmidt) passed on June 10, 2012.   Born in Philadelphia, Loretta  married and raised her children as a resident of Camden.  Age 76 years.   Devoted mother of Kevin McAteer, Leslie Moore, Michele McAteer and Robert (Lori) Smith.  She was preceded in death by her son, Michael McAteer.  Loving grandmother of 9 and great grandmother of 2.  Dear sister of Joseph and Bob Schmidt and the late Rena Cassidy and Bill Schmidt.  Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.   Loretta proudly achieved her Master's degree later in life and went on to fulfill a career in social work at the VA Lyons Hospital in Newark.  She had the voice of an angel and was actively involved in the choir at St. Peter's Church.  Loretta will be very much missed by all of those she touched.    Relatives and friends are invited to the Visitation and Funeral on Wednesday from 7-9 PM and Thursday from 8:30-9:30 AM at the Falco/CARUSO & Leonard Pennsauken Funeral Home, 6600 N. Browning Rd.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 10 AM at the Church of St. Peter, 43 W. Maple Ave in Merchantville.  Interment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park in Cinnamsinson.  In lieu of flowers, the family would like memorial donations to The Heart of Camden, 1840 Broadway Ave, Camden, NJ 08104.
