When all the cousins were young I remember the picnics we used to have at the house on Royal Ave. and how Aunt Rita made it look so easy hosting our enormous family. I remember all of us sitting around the table playing Pokeno for hours and stuffing ourselves on her wonderful cookies and treats. In her way, Aunt Rita also had a terrific sense of humor -- like the time I was sleeping over the house for a visit and she told us (me, Roseann, Anthony and Larry) to "go outside and get some fresh air". That's exactly the sort of thing you tell young kids when they're watching TV -- it was so like her!
