Matreale passed away on November 10, 2011 of Pennsauken since 1970, formerly of Camden.  Age 79 years.    Beloved husband of Lorraine S. (nee Smith) for 55 years.  Devoted father of Cheryl Wilson (Dale), Frank and James J. Matreale (Tina).  Loving grandfather of Christi, Amanda, Rachael, Jimmy, Melissa, Frankie and Jake.  Dear brother of Honey Ceccanecchio (Dave) and the late Frank Matreale.  Also survived by Donna Matreale and numerous nieces and nephews.    Prior to retirement in 1992, Mr. Matreale was a Master Sergeant in the NJ Army National Guard for 44 years.  He served in the 1-114th Infantry in Woodbury, NJ and was a lifelong member and past President of the 114th Infantry Regimental Assoc.  He was also a production manager for both Whitman's Chocolate and then Falcon Candy Company for over 50 years.  Mr. Matreale was an avid Philadelphia sports fan but his greatest joy was his family, especially his grandchildren.    Relatives and friends are invited to the Visitation and Funeral on Tuesday(11/15/2011) from 7-9 PM and Wednesday from 10-11 AM at the falco/CARUSO & leonard Pennsauken Funeral Home, 6600 N. Browning Rd, where a celebration of James's life will be held at 11 AM.  Interment will follow at the Brig. General William C. Doyle Veterans Mem Cem in Arneytown, NJ.  The family would like memorial donations to be made to the NJ Veterans Memorial Home, 524 N.W. Blvd, Vineland, NJ 08360.
