Beloved wife of 62 years of Gregory Hayes. Devoted mother of Theresa Bullock, James (Joyce)Hayes, and Colleen (Charles)Cerveny. Loving grandmother of Kimberly Bullock (John) Samar, William Robert (Jaclyn) Bullock, Julie Bullock Lowery, Tammy Hayes Miller (Bo) Tayler, Jon Hayes, Greg Hayes, James Cerveny and Jessica Cerveny. And great grandmother of John Samar, Brenna Miller, Abby Miller, Ryan Lowery, and Austin Lowery. And many loving nieces and nephews. She was one of 11 daughters born to James and Anna Murtha. Survived by sisters Regina Lapp and Geraldine Murtha. Predeceased by sisters Nellie Bartenback, Mary Campbell, Margaret Lynch, Anna Campbell, Josephine Murtha, Agnes Murtha, Rose Murtha, and Ellen Murtha. Born and raised in the Cramer Hill section of Camden, Mrs. Hayes was active in her church, St. Anthony of Padua and her children's PTA. She was an excellent seamstress, enjoyed arts and crafts, decorating and upholstering furniture. Her love of historical and biographical books made her a wonderful conversationalist. She lived well, loved much and laughed often. Relative and friends are invited to the visitation and funeral on Monday, December 20, 2010 from 7 to 9 PM and Tuesday, December 21, 2010 of 9 to 10 AM at the Falco/Caruso & Leonard Pennsauken Funeral Home, 6600 N. Browning Rd. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10:30 AM at the Church of St. Stephen, 6300 Browning Road in Pennsauken. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Cherry Hill. The family request memorial donations to be made in her name to ALS Assoc. 321 Norristown Rd.
