Being a long time good friend to Mike’s partner,Liz, I was in Mike’s company on many occasions. Always a fun time and I will hold those special memories close to my heart. One thing I noticed was omitted from his beautiful obituary was Mike’s love for good food. Any time we shared a meal, and especially a home cooked meal, warmed my heart how much he enjoyed and was always complimentary. My deepest sympathy to Liz, his family and friends. May he rest in peace and serenity

Anyone who knew Mike is feeling the weight of this huge loss. This is a person you always wanted to be around-- kind, upbeat and always with a smile. He was so very talented in his work, from vision to implementation. He was so generous, doing countless bike rides to benefit many charities. And how he loved his Philly sports! I feel so lucky to have known him, a true gift to my whole family when my cousin Lisa married his dad, Warren. My deepest condolences to my beloved cousin, who loved him like her own son, and to Liz, Jane, Keith, Peter, Caitlin, Kyle and Haley. Though taken far too soon, he is at peace and in the arms of his heaven family.

Mike was a true friend who will be greatly missed.
He had a warm personality, a clever and sharp sense of humor, and he'd always go out of his way to try to help those who sought out his expertise in all things "house related."
Mike was immensely helpful when I was in the process of selling my house a few years ago. His impeccable craftsmanship and attention to all the important details contributed to getting the house "sellable." I couldn't have done it without him.
I'll be forever grateful for that, and also for Mike's enthusiasm for sports, especially his beloved Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles. One of Mike's last visits to Florida allowed us to take in a spring training baseball game nearby, and I'll cherish the enjoyment and fun time we both had on that occasion.
Even though he lived a full and happy life, Mike was taken from us too soon. I'm sure all with whom he came in contact feel the same, but we are blessed with great and warm memories as well.

Mike was a good man. Always a smile, so friendly. I am a Yankees & Giants fan. Mike was Phillies & Eagles. We’d talk baseball and football, laugh, root our teams but never argue. He did a lot of work over a couple of decades in our home for my wife & me. She’d cook him a meal on occasion and he’d return the Tupperware immaculately scrubbed out with a thank you. Mike was in our home late September for some painting. He and I talked about his cancer and the treatment he was to undergo again. He was very positive and upbeat. We shared a bond - I’m a cancer survivor. I’d encourage Mike to fight it and he did. Cancer is no ones friend. One spared, one taken, random or fate, we don’t know.
I pray now that Mike is in God’s warm embrace and offer my sincere, heartfelt sympathy.
Mike Baumgartner, rest in peace. A life well lived, gone far too soon.
