We will sorely miss our dear friend of more than 50 years, but fond memories of Joan will abide in our hearts. She was an amazing woman who had a long career in banking but was also a dedicated mom, a fabulous cook who did her own canning, a seamstress who made her own curtains and clothes, a prolific gardener, an antique collector, and a dog lover. We'll never forget the delicious scent of freshly baked bread and homemade blueberry pies when we walked through the door of the Anderson home for dozens of dinner parties and New Year's celebrations over the decades. Nor will we forget her luscious mezzo-soprano voice when Mark would cajole her into singing with our musical friends while he played piano. We always thought of the Andersons as family, and our son always thought of Joan as an Aunt. We send our heartfelt condolences to Mark and Ian, Joan's family and all her friends who loved her as we did.
