Obituary of Juana L. Marte

Juana L. Marte (nee DeJesus), age 98 years of Pennsauken, passed away peacefully on June 18, 2024.

Beloved wife of the late Juan Marte for 63 years. Devoted mother of Maria Marte (PabloTavarez), Ramon Marte, Nicio Marte (Maria Teresa), Marilin Marte (Edwin Aponte), and Claribel Marte. Loving grandfather of 15 and great grandfather of 12. Also survived by 6 loving siblings as well as many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents, Alfonso and Angelica DeJesus, and many cherished siblings.

Juana was a devout Catholic and prayed the rosary daily. She would pray for everyone that would visit her home. Juana was a generous host, always making sure to offer everyone a hot cup of coffee. She was very dedicated to helping others. Juana will be missed by all who were blessed to know her.

Relatives and friends are invited to the Visitation & Funeral on Monday, June 24, 2024 from 7-9 PM and Tuesday, June 25, 2024 from 8-9:30 AM at the Church of St. Anthony of Padua, 2818 River Road in Camden. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 AM. Entombment will follow at Harleigh Cemetery in Camden.
