Obituary of Rafael Acevedo-Quinones

Rafael Acevedo-Quinones, age 91 of Camden, passed away on April 20, 2024 at VITAS Hospice in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  He was born in Jayuya, Puerto Rico on August 27, 1932 to the late Luis Acevedo and Carmen Quinones. 

He is the beloved husband of Esther M. (nee Alvarez); devoted father of Jose R. (Marilyn Santiago) and Melissa Acevedo (Cristopher M. Llane); loving grandfather of Pedro Jose Acevedo, Natalia A. Llane and Giovanni Arroyo and great grandfather of Avalynn Rose Acevedo, Avian El Acevedo, Emma Sofia Arroyo and Gianna Luna Arroyo.

Rafael loved going to antique car shows and the casinos, watching baseball and WWE wrestling, listening to spanish music and gardening.  He was a die-hard Atlanta Braves and Dallas Cowboys fan; enjoyed spending time with his family and going out to eat or to the Cooper River Park.  He also enjoyed riding his bicycle and going out shopping for clothes - he always liked to look elegant wearing a nice suit with some good cologne.

Relatives and friends are invited to the Visitation and Funeral on Thursday from 9 to 11 AM at the Falco/Caruso & Leonard Camden Funeral Home, 3425 River Avenue, where a Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM.  Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Cherry Hill.
