Obituary of Carlos E. Ruiz

Carlos E. Ruiz, age 46 years of Cherry Hill, formerly of Camden, passed away on April 16, 2024.

Carlos was born on December 27. 1977 in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico to the late Carlos A. Ruiz and Noemi Ruiz-Velazquez. Beloved husband of Joann (nee Cruz). Devoted father of Carlos A. Ruiz Jr., Samari S. Ruiz, Cheyla S. Ruiz, Jo-Mari N. Ruiz, and Elianna M. Ruiz. Dear brother of Jose A. Ruiz (Isabel), and the late Sheila Ruiz. Cherished uncle of Elisabet A. Ruiz. 

Prior to retirement, Carlos worked as a firefighter with the Camden City Fire Department for over 12 years. He was a die-hard Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies fan and enjoyed camping, bonfires, grilling, and working on the car and house. Carlos was also a Pastor and very devoted to his faith. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family, playing video games with his kids, especially Halo, and watching his girls play softball.

Relatives and friends are invited to the Visitation & Funeral on Thursday, April 25, 2024 from 9-11 AM at the Falco, Caruso & Leonard Pennsauken Funeral Home, 6600 N. Browning Road, where a Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM. Interment will follow at Arlington Cemetery in Pennsauken.
