Obituary of Jose Antonio Zayas Jr.

Jose Antonio Zayas, Jr., age 37 of Camden, passed away on January 3, 2024 at Cooper Medical Center in Camden.  He was born on November 21, 1986 in Caguas, Puerto Rico.

 

Beloved husband of Janet L. Mercado; devoted son of Rosalinda Rodriguez and Luis Burgos; cherished father of Jalise Perez, Tyshawn, Juliana, Samantha and Jaidah Zayas; dear brother of Jose Antonio “Hova” Zayas, Jr., Juan Carlos Cintron, Brendi Martinez, Jovani Zayas, Yolanda Zayas, Jonathan Zayas, Joshua Zayas, Santoni Fred and Jennifer Rivera, and brother in law of Edil Martinez and David DeJesus.  He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family and friends.

 

Jose loved to spend time with his children, going out camping,  fishing and jet-skiing, listening to music and dancing.  He was the proud owner of JR Auto Glass and was a caring, helpful person always looking to help someone out.  Jose was high-energy and loved being goofy around people, always looking to get a laugh.

 

Relatives and friends are invited to the Visitation and Funeral on Monday, January 15 from 6 to 9 PM and Tuesday, January 16 from 9 to 11 AM at the Falco/Caruso & Leonard Pennsauken Funeral Home, 6600 N. Browning Road, where a Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM.  Interment will follow at Arlington Cemetery in Pennsauken.
