Obituary of Joseph "Butch" August Minessale Jr.

Joseph A. " Butch" Minessale Jr, of Cherry Hill, formerly Pennsauken; born March 9, 1938 passed away suddenly on December 29, 2023 at 85 years. Survived by his wife Elissa Marie (nee DeStephano) of 55 years. Cherished father of Joseph A. (Amy) Minessale, Angela Minessale (Jim), Elissa "Danielle" (Mike) West and Mary Ginarose Minessale. Also survived by his dear grandchildren Amanda (Joe), Alysa, Joseph, Matthew, Michael, John, Anna, Logan and Great grandchildren Joseph, Jacob, Ryan, Emma, Jace, Ava and the late Skyla Rose. Also survived by his brother Howard Zanzig and many loving nieces, nephews and cousins. Joseph was a longtime Pennsauken Volunteer Fireman with Highland Volunteer Fire Company which he took great pride in. He first became a member on January 19, 1960. He served as 1st Deputy Chief from 1971-1978. He was promoted to Lieutenant in 1967 until 1970. He was also a Trustee from 1966 to 1967. He remained a member until they closed on July 5, 2010.

He also was an avid hunter, fisherman, he loved spending time with his family; especially his grandchildren and kids.

Relatives & friends are invited to the Visitation & Funeral on Saturday from 9 to 11 AM at Falco Caruso & Leonard Funeral, 6600 Browing Road in Pennsauken. A Funeral Service will be celebrated at 11 AM.

Interment Calvary Cemetery in Cherry Hill.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Butch's memory to the Repaupo Fire Museum, 7 Repaupo Station Road, Logan Township, NJ 08085.
