Obituary of Sara Ortiz
Sara Ortiz, age 76 years of Camden, passed away on November 13, 2023.
Devoted mother of Migdalia E. Rodriguez (Luis), Noemi Torres, Ruth Torres, Ernesto Torres (Marie) and David P. Torres (Maria). Loving grandmother of Vivianna, Luciano, Edmanuel, Ernie, Dalyse, Eric, Kelli, Ernesto Jr., David Jr., Britni and Ashley and great grandmother of Yonathan, Doniven, Maryjane, Luciano Jr., Brooklyn, Eric Jr., Esther, Elijah and Audriana. Dear sister of Ramon, Elijio, Elias and the late Dube and Santos Ortiz.
Sara worked for many years in different professions. She was a laborer in a factory, caretaker, and medical assistant and office manager at a doctors office. After retiring, Sara was owner of two Spanish restaurants in Camden.
Sara was an advocate for the seniors in the apartment building she lived in and volunteered often at their food pantry. She was the godmother of the Los Villas baseball team in Philadelphia. She loved arts and crafts, sewing, cooking, dancing and music. Most of all, Sara cherished time spent with family and hosting family events.
Relatives and friends are invited to the Visitation and Funeral on Monday, November 20, 2023 from 9:30-11 AM at the Falco/Caruso & Leonard Pennsauken Funeral Home, 6600 N. Browning Road, where a Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM. Interment will follow at Morgan Cemetery in Cinnaminson.
