Obituary of Amelia Lopez

Amelia Lopez, age 80 of Camden, passed away on September 19, 2023 at Virtua Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Camden, New Jersey.  She was born on November 1, 1942 in Lares, Puerto Rico to the late Matteo Lopez and Maria Rivera.

She is the beloved wife of the late Ricardo Lopez, Sr.; devoted mother of Carmen Sonia Lopez, Carmen Evelyn Velez, Ricardo Lopez Jr., Wanda Lopez and Carlos Lopez; loving grandmother of 12 and great grandmother of 6.

Amelia enjoyed watching novelas such as Los Enamorados, Ruby and Theresa, working on crossword puzzles, sewing and coloring with her grandchildren EJ and Elianna.  She loved to cook for her family, especially her chicken stew with white rice.  Amelia was extremely devoted to her faith and her family; she was a longtime member of the Women’s Society of Our Lady of Fatima  and was a parishioner at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception.

Relatives and friends are invited to the Visitation and Funeral on Wednesday, September 27, 2023 from 8:30 to 10:30 AM at the Falco/Caruso & Leonard Pennsauken Funeral Home, 6600 N. Browning Road, where a Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 AM.  Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Cherry Hill.
