Obituary of Joan Bakaj
Joan Bakaj (nee Zamorski) age 82 years of Pennsauken, passed away peacefully on August 27, 2022.
Beloved wife of the late Edwin. Devoted mother of Edwin Bakaj Jr., Emeline Briley, Nadine Bouton (William), Joseph Bakaj, Susan Nelan (Randy), Jill Bakaj and the late Mary Ann Bakaj. Loving grandmother of Matthew (Soyol), Sara, Christie, Nicole, Angela and Malia and great grandmother of Namira. Dear sister of Lawrence Zamorski Jr. and Mary Sal Phillips. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Joan was an active parishioner and eucharist minister at the church of St. Stephen in Pennsauken for many years. She enjoyed gardening and loved animals, especially bird and her dogs.
Relatives and friends are invited to the Visitation and Funeral on Saturday, September 3, 2022 from 8:30-9:30 AM at the Falco/Caruso & Leonard Pennsauken Funeral Home, 6600 N. Browning Road. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM at the Church of St. Peter, 43 W. Maple Ave in Merchantville. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Cherry Hill. In lieu of flowers, the family would like memorial donations made to St. Vincent de Paul Society c/o St. Peter Church, 43 W. Maple Ave Merchantville, NJ 08109.
