Obituary of Mary Ellen Applegate

Mary Ellen Applegate of Pennsauken, formerly of Southwest Philadelphia, Pa passed away peacefully at home on August 18, 2022 at 77 years. Beloved wife of the late Henry Jay Applegate; Devoted mother of Heather Applegate (Rob Wilson) and the late David Applegate; Loving grandmother of Lauren, Matthew and Amanda; Dear sister of Lucille and Isabel; and her cherished caregiver Maryellen Underwood; Also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.

Prior to retirement Mary Ellen worked as a hair dresser. She enjoyed shopping sprees, exercising, movie dates, going out to lunch and eating her desserts, swimming laps at Woodbine Swim Club, traveling especially cruises with her family. She was very faithful and loved her church, Fellowship Community. She loved volunteering her time and being a part of the church family.

Relatives & friends are invited to Visitation and Funeral on Saturday, August 27th from 11 AM to 1 PM at Falco Caruso & Leonard Funeral Home, 6600 N. Browning Road in Pennsauken. A Memorial Service will be celebrated at 1 PM.
