Obituary of Matilde Rivera
Matilde Rivera (nee Quiles) age 76 years of Blackwood, formerly of Camden, passed away on December 19, 2021.
Beloved wife of the late Tomas, Sr. Devoted mother of Tomas Jr., Brunilda, Mildred and Father David Rivera. Loving grandmother of Tomas III, Cruz Jr., Matthew, Nicholas, Erik, and Ciara and great grandmother of Delilah Ann and Sunnie May. Dear sister of Maria Eulalia, Carmen Delia, Ismael, Emeterio, Hector Luis, Aurora Esther, Anna Luisa, Roberto, Oscar and Aracelys Quiles. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Matilde Rivera was a devout Roman Catholic. A woman who loved the Holy Spirit and the Charismatic renewal within the Church. She read the Bible daily, attended Mass faithfully, prayed the Rosary and shared her love of Jesus Christ with all.
Matilde was very charitable giving to the Church and numerous other charities. A devout wife for over fifty years, a tender and loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was godmother to many who loved her dearly. Matilde was a patient counselor and guide to those who sought her advice. Sunday evening dinners with the family was her gift to the family, never failing to bring the family together for prayer and wonderful Puerto Rican food. She also enjoyed gardening, flowers, and decorating. This woman of God will be deeply missed.

Relatives and friends are invited to the Visitation and Funeral on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 from 6-8 PM at the Falco/Caruso & Leonard Pennsauken Funeral Home, 6600 N. Browning. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, December 23, 2021 at 9:30 AM at the Parish of St. Mary of Mt. Carmel, Church of St. Joseph, 226 French Street in Hammonton. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
