Obituary of Jane L. Belcher
Jane L. Belcher (nee Arthur), a lifetime resident of Lawnside, New Jersey, passed away at her home on May 12, 2021 at the age of 88.
Jane was born February 15, 1933 in Lawnside New Jersey to the late Alberta and Harry Arthur Sr. Jane was educated in the Lawnside Public School system and received her Bachelor’s Degree from Glassboro State.
Jane was a longtime elementary school teacher in the Lawnside Public School district prior to her Retirement in 1996. She was also a very dedicated member of the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church in Lawnside where she sang in the choir and taught Sunday School. She loved camping and traveling all over the Country in her Motor Home with her husband Robert. She also loved going for long walks to Haddonfield and perusing the Jewelry shops to find her rare silver and Turquoise jewelry pieces she was known for.
Most of all she enjoyed her Ministry. She truly loved the Lord and would spread the word at every opportunity.
Jane was the beloved wife of the late Robert C. Belcher, Sr.; devoted mother of Robert Jr. (Shirley), Brien (Pam) and Mark (Cynthia); loving grandmother of Sharita Corbett (Corey), Tiffany Macey, Deleah Camardo, Bryheem Belcher, Robert Belcher III (Dara) and Ebony Belcher; cherished great grandmother of Brea, Jada, Mila, Zoe, Messiah, Bryson and Robert IV; dear sister of Esther Williams, Geraldine, Roscoe and Sandra Arthur. Preceded in death by two brothers Jerome and Harry Arthur Jr. Surviving in-laws; Juanita Arthur, Doris Fleming, T. Bertha Payton, Lillie, Joe (Lena), Edward (Gwen), James (Iluminada) Belcher; also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and her cherished longtime friends Roberta Cream & Barbara Turner.
Relatives and friends are invited to the Visitation and Funeral on Thursday, May 20 from 9 to 11 AM at the Falco/Caruso & Leonard Pennsauken Funeral Home, 6600 N. Browning Road, where a Funeral Service will be celebrated at 11 AM. Interment will follow at Woodbury Memorial Park in Woodbury, New Jersey.
Due to current Covid restrictions, please pay your respects in a timely manner to allow others to enter the building. Face masks MUST be worn inside the building at all times.
