Obituary of Richard Lee Forbes

Reverend Richard (Lee) Forbes, age 80, of Cherry Hill, passed away on April 28, 2021. Born in New York City to the late Richard and Marie Forbes. A priest of the Diocese of Camden, Father Forbes was ordained on May 20, 1967 at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Concepcion in Camden. He was Parochial Vicar at many parishes throughout the Camden Diocese; including Epiphany Parish in Longport, St. John the Baptist in Camden, St. Andrew the Apostle in Gibbsboro, St. Agnes in Blackwood and Our Lady of Grace in Somerdale. Prior to retiring in 2009, Father Forbes was Pastor of St. John of God Parish in North Cape May. He will be missed by his extended family, friends, and brother priests. Relatives and friends are invited to the Visitation on Tuesday, May 4, 2021 from 9-10 AM at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, 642 Market Street in Camden, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM. Entombment will follow at New St. Mary's Cemetery in Bellmawr, NJ.
