Obituary of Jean Smith

Jean Smith (nee Carroll), age 93 years of Pennsauken, formerly of Haddon Township, passed away on February 11, 2021. Beloved wife of the late Harry Smith. Devoted mother of Lance Smith, Scott Smith, and Candace Voluntad (Ed). Loving grandmother of Jonathan, Daniel, and Aaron and great grandmother of Payton, Riley, and Melody. Prior to retirement, Jean worked as a probation officer and loved to work. She enjoyed traveling, swimming, and was an excellent cook and baker. Jean also loved to crochet and would donate blankets to hospitals. She would also volunteer at homeless shelters making PB&J sandwiches to hand out to those in need. Jean enjoyed having dinner with friends, never missing their Saturday night dinner dates. She led a very full and active life, never letting anything stop her or get in her way, and was always doing for others. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Due to the current public health crisis caused by the COVID19 pandemic, all services are being handled privately. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Jean's name to the Animal Welfare Association at 509 Centennial Blvd, Voorhees, NJ 08043 or to Samaritan Hospice at 5 Eves Drive, Suite 300, Marlton, NJ 08053.
