Guillermo "Willie" Martinez-Colon, Pennsauken, formerly of Camden, passed away on December 23, 2020 at 89 years. Beloved husband of the late Rosa (nee Hernandez); predeceased by his parents Gabriel and Fundadora Martinez and siblings Gertrudis, Maria, Josefa, Lecadio, Luicia, Tina and is survived by one brother Marcos Francisco Martinez. Devoted father of Norma Santiago, foster daughter Tina Dorofeychuk and the late Madeline Martinez. Cherished grandfather of Edwin Jr. (Jennie), Judith (Chalone), Rosa (Robert), Jonathan (Lindsay). Loving great grandfather of Edwin Robert (Dominique), Angelina, Zackary, Xavier, Joseph, Mykayla, Madeline, Nathan, Lillian, Eliana, Alexander, Michael and Robert. Caring great-great grandfather of Jonathan, Isaac, and Valentina. Guillermo was a faithful Catholic and founding member of Our Lady of Fatima Church in Camden. Willie was also a founding member of The Holy Name Society at Our Lady of Fatima Church, were he served for 30 years. Upon moving to East Camden he joined St. Joseph Pro Cathedral where he served as an Usher faithfully with pride, honor and joy. His happiest moments were those he spent with his grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. He would always comment how blessed he was to have had such a beautiful family. His last words spoken about his dear Rosa were “she was a good wife, good mother, she stood by me when I had nothing; she is in Heaven, I am grateful”. Willie will be known for his love of church and family. He will be greatly missed by those who were blessed enough to know him. Due to the current public health crisis caused by COVID19, all services are being handled privately. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Joseph Pro Cathedral, 2907 Federal Street, Camden, NJ 08105.
