Obituary of Gerald J Matricardi

Gerald J. "Jerry" Matricardi, age 84 of Mount Laurel, passed away at Virtua Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Willingboro on December 20, 2020. Beloved husband of 61 years to Mary G. (nee Ambrico); Devoted father of Steven, Sharon (Joe) Peretz, Marc (Marny) and Susan (Rob) Duricko; Loving Pop-Pop of Samantha, Sara, Joseph, Emily, Jenna, Sophia, Alyssa and Myranda; Dear brother of Eleanor Caruso. Prior to his retirement, Jerry was employed with RCA in Deptford for over 45 years, where he retired as an international and domestic customer service director. He was a big contributor through RCA for I Love Kids, Toys for Tots and the United Way; and was active bowling and playing football and baseball for RCA. Jerry was a head usher at St. John Neumann Church in Mount Laurel and loved Notre Dame and Philadelphia Eagles football. He also worked as a bartender at Rexy's in the 1970's during the height of the Flyer's era. Relatives and friends are invited to the Visitation and Funeral on Tuesday from 8:30 to 9:30 AM at the Falco/Caruso & Leonard Pennsauken Funeral Home, 6600 N. Browning Road. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM at the Church of St. Peter, 43 W. Maple Avenue in Merchantville. Entombment will follow at Calvary Mausoleum in Cherry Hill.
