Obituary of Jose Arce - Velez

Jose Arce Velez, lovingly known as Pepe Arce, passed away suddenly on April 8, 2020. Pepe was born May 16, 1935 in San Sebastian, Puerto Rico. Son of the late Justa Velez and Luis Arce. Beloved husband of the late Sara Arce (nee Martinez). Devoted father of 10 children Julio, Victor, Nilda, Hilda, Jose Jr., Filda, Norma, Edwin and the late Roberto and Carlos. An adoring grandfather of 32 grandchildren, 62 great-grandchildren and 6 great great-grandchildren. Pepe worked early in life as a chef, he enjoyed cooking for family and friends. He loved fishing. He was known best for his love of music and dancing, he was always the life of the party and the dance floor. "Don Pepe" was known and loved by so many in his community. He especially loved to be surrounded by his family. He will be dearly missed. Services for Jose are being held privately due to the current public health crisis caused by CoVid-19. Burial will take place privately at Calvary Cemetery in Cherry Hill.
