Obituary of Elenore A. Mazzola
Elenore A. Mazzola (nee Riccio), age 91 of Gibbstown, passed away peacefully on June 18, 2018 at Inspira Medical Center in Woodbury surrounded by her family.
She is the beloved wife of 69 years of the late Raymond D. Sr.; devoted mother of Raymond Jr. (Roseann), Leonora (Louis) Picciano, Elissa (George) Brooks and the late Angela (Stanley III) McGraw. Loving grandmother of Missy (Greg), Gabrielle, Laura, Natalie, Stanley IV (Julia), Jacqueline, Angela, George, Declan, Raymond and great grandmother of Jackson, Taylor, Luke, Beau, Stanley V, Wesley and Madeline; Dear sister of Gloria Pinto and the late Mary DeVuono. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and friends.
Elenore grew up and attended school in the Frankford area of Philadelphia. Her first job was at Western Electric as a comptometer operator. Later, she worked at United News in the Juniata section of Philadelphia in the accounts receivable department. She met and married her husband Raymond in 1948 and together they raised four children in Philadelphia.
Elenore’s greatest passions in life were centered around her creative mind and nurturing heart. She was very involved in her children’s school as a lunchroom mom and volunteered her time to various fundraisers and school socials. Elenore loved to entertain; she was a wonderful cook and baker and always had a house full of people. She was proficient in crocheting and created many beautiful pieces for family and friends, most of which are still being used and worn today. After her husband retired, Elenore and Raymond were warmly welcomed into a new community in Gibbstown, NJ, which they made their home for the last fourteen years. Throughout all of her life, Elenore was devoted to her family, especially her love, Raymond. They were apart for only a short six months and now are reunited in heaven to continue their love story.
Relatives and friends are invited to the Visitation and Funeral on Saturday, June 23 from 10:30 AM to Noon at the Parish of St. Clare of Assisi, Church of St. Michael, 313 Memorial Avenue in Gibbstown, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Noon. Interment will follow at the Gloucester County Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Williamstown.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Inflammatory Breast Cancer Network Foundation, PO Box 908 Friendswood, Texas 77546 in memory of her late daughter Angela.
