Obituary of Domenica Meloni

Born March 1, 1937 in the Providence of Messina, Italy; Domenica "Nina" Meloni, 80, of Merchantville, New Jersey, passed away on May 2, 2017.

Beloved wife of Dante (Deceased); Devoted mother of Lisa and her husband Gino DiBattista; David (Sue), Linda and her husband Jim Drea, Lori; Loving grandmother of Anthony, Dante, Adrianna, Justin, Brandon and Liana.

Prior to her retirement, Mrs. Meloni worked at her father's butcher shop and was employed as a store manager. She also served as President and Chairperson of many organizations.

Nina was known for her cooking and baking, some say she is the BEST of all time. Her specialties were "Gravy and Meatballs" and many desserts! Known by many as their second mom; she always provided advice and gave direction when needed, but most important LOVE. She enjoyed having the house filled with family and friends talking and laughing, the more the merrier. She really cherished her family and was always there for them. She was a kind, strong woman with a huge heart, beautiful soul, and a smile that could light up a room.

Relatives and friends are invited to the Visitation on Sunday, May 7, 2017 from 7 – 9 PM at Falco/Caruso & Leonard Pennsauken Funeral Home, 6600 N. Browning Rd. Visitation and Funeral on Monday, May 8, 2017 from 8:15–9:15 AM at the Falco/Caruso & Leonard Pennsauken Funeral Home, 6600 N. Browning Rd. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM at the Church of St. Peter's, 43 West Maple Avenue in Merchantville. Entombment will follow at Calvary Mausoleum in Cherry Hill.
