My heart felt condolences to one and all and especially to Bruny and family during this moment of solemn separation from her long lasting beloved companion, my little-big brother Yayi. May God fortify you with strength, courage and perseverance as you continue to walk in earthly life. May His grace, mercy, love and blessing be upon you.
Here is my heart felt reflection on little Yayi...
Thank you for being my Brother Yayi
In younger days, we played together in vibrant joys of frenzy.
Unmindful, perhaps oblivious as the world kept turning.
We aged-on, evolved and subsided here and there.
Enduring, admiring, prevailing, and even wailing along this journey.
We even flourished as we also lost beloved ones along the way.
Consciously we knew and know too well and expect;
Our appointed time; our moment for fading-out and going away.
I saw you grow, blossom and struggle.
You lacked in many ways like everyone else.
Yet prevailed in many other special ways.
In firm conviction you throve this ruthless world and have transcended.
So now I ponder, how I lacked in giving more of me to you as a big brother.
How could I not be there more for you?
As my heart yearns to play again, I see you’ve done your time, your fair and square part and your earthly troubles are over. Nonetheless, in heartily faith I remain tentative. For a time may come, we’ll meet once more and before His eyes we’ll play again; all be it in joys of frenzy.
Thank you for being my brother Yayi.
