Obituary of Harry G. Ivory

Harry G. Ivory, age 88 years, of Mt. Laurel, passed away on September 14, 2016 at CareOne in Moorestown. Beloved husband of Catherine (nee DeFino). Devoted father of Harry G. Jr. (Michele) and Lisa Schwartz (Glenn). Loving grandfather of Kevin (Valeria), Kelly (Brad), Cheryl (Anselm), Timothy (AnneMarie) and Meghan and great grandfather of Kayla, Tyler, Gianna, Carter and Kira. Predeceased by 5 brothers and 4 sisters. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Prior to retirement, Harry was employed with the Department of Defense for 35 years. He was a United States Coast Guard Veteran serving during the Korean War. Harry was a past Grand Knight of the 3rd Degree Knights of Columbus Council 3512 for two terms and then became a 4th Degree Navigator with the Bishop Eustace Assembly #652 and was also a member of the Color Corps for many years. He was also a member of the Sons of the American Revolution, Disabled American Vets and was the former President of the Holiday Village HOA. Harry loved working with his hands and enjoyed woodworking and making stained glass. Relatives and friends are invited to the Visitation and Funeral on Sunday from 6-8 PM and Monday from 9:30-10:30 AM at the Falco/Caruso & Leonard Pennsauken Funeral Home, 6600 N. Browning Rd. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 11:30 AM at the Church of St. John Neumann, 560 Walton Ave in Mt. Laurel. Entombment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Cherry Hill. In lieu of flowers, the family would like memorial donations to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516.
