Obituary of James Ackley

James A. "Jim" Ackley, age 74 years, of Pennsauken, passed away on May 20, 2016 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of Judy E. (nee DiAntonio). Devoted father of Colleen Messina (John), Shannon Appel (Jason) and Erin Ackley (Jeffrey Jaworski). Loving grandfather of Brandon, Matthew, Alexandra and Andrew. Dear brother of Joseph Ackley (Lynn) and Peggy Kirk (Greg). Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Prior to retirement, Jim was employed at Ford Motor Company in Pennsauken for 21 years and then US Drop Forge in Swedesboro for over 15 years. He was a US Navy Veteran serving on the USS Cromwell DE214 during the Vietnam War and was a member of the American Legion. Relatives and friends are invited to the Visitation and Funeral on Friday from 9:30 AM at St. Joseph's Pro Cathedral Church, 2907 Federal St. Camden, NJ 08105, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM. Entombment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Cherry Hill. In lieu of flowers, the family would like memorial donations to St. Joseph's Pro Cathedral School at the above address.
