To the DiMarcangelo Family: What a wonderful tribute the memorial service was on Saturday! It was uplifting to hear so many wonderful and positive comments about a man who was and still is so deeply loved. I remember Dr. DiMarcangelo and Mrs. DiMarcangelo coming for their appointments at the hospital. Dr. DiMarcangelo spoke to each person he came in contact with and always had a kind word. My deepest sympathies to all of you.

"A hero is an ordinary individual who finds the strength to perservere and endure in spite of overwhelming obstacles." (Christopher Reeves) Our cousin was a hero to us for his courage in dealing with his illness. He looked at his situation and carried on with great grace and with much dignity. His life was about family and values. He embodied the best...integrity, hard work, truthfulness, kindness, and helping others. His spirit will live on in all those who love him.

Dear Mrs DiMarcangelo, Corinne, Mark and Michael, It was with deep sorrow that we learned just this past Thursday of the passing of your husband and father. It is with all of our heart that we offer our condolences to you for the passing of such a gentleman and fine husband, father and dedicated physician. It was probably in 1980 or '81 in my 2nd year of medical school when Dr. and Mrs DiMarcangelo had returned one evening from dinner with my future in-laws, Dr. and Mrs. Mattera at their home in Haddonfield when I first met them. And I can still remember the medical pearl that your dad imparted to me during our first encounter. He was a man who carried himself well in his personal and professional life. He had a heart of sincere compassion for people. He is a tribute to his profession and a man, in whom, I am sure you are very proud. We share your deep loss with you. Sincerely, Jeff and Lisa Crawford, on behalf of all the Crawfords

I worked with Dr. DiMarcangelo many years ago at UNDMJ-SOM in the department of Family Medicine. I was just out of my residency working primarily out of the Stratford office, but occasionally would work with Dr. DiMarc as I called him at the Marlton office on Main Street. He always had a smile on his face seeing his many loyal patients. My husband, Dr. Michael Voyack worked with him as well and knows his son. He was truly a great Osteopathic Family Doctor, I hope his legacy lives on with his children and all the osteopathic students he mentored over the years. God Bless to his family and God Bless Dr. DiMarc. Sincerely, Cathy Barone, Michael Voyack

We had the privilege of meeting Dr. D around 23 years ago. Through the years, he has given our family some wonderful advice, both medical and personal. His kindness, gentleness and caring demeanor was nothing short of genuine. We know what a loving family man he was and that his family was a great source of pride. He will be missed by so many. May you rest in peace, Dr. D.

Dear Mrs. DiMarcangelo and Family, It is with saddness that we at UMDNJ-SOM learned of the passing of Dr. Michael DiMarcangelo (husband, father, grandfather and greatgrandfather). He is known to us as a physician of the highest skill and integrity. He is recognized as an individual deeply committed to his faith and his family. Over the years he has made valued contributions to healthcare and to the region through his compassionate care to many patients. We are indeed honored that he has served as a faculty member here at our school where he always was a great role model for our students and residents and a fine example of what an osteopathic phyisican should be. On behalf of the entire UMDNJ-SOM family, please be assured that your entire family is in our thoughts and prayers during this very difficult time and that Dr. DiMarcangelo lives on through the many physicians that he has enriched through his fine example. With sympathy. Tom

I am so saddened to learn of the passing of a great doctor and wonderful man. He taught me as a resident and worked with me as a colleague at UMDNJ-SOM. I remember seeing Mike several times in retirement - at AROC, a restaurant in Medford and in Ocean City. He always maintained his humor, keen intelligence, joy of living and love of family. I've always admired all of those qualities in him. Please know that he leaves a tremendous legacy through all of the medical students, residents, colleagues and patients he has touched throughout his life. He and his family will be in my thoughts and prayers.

MY SINCERE CONDOLENCES TO DOROTHY AND FAMILY ON YOUR LOSS. I HAVE KNOWN MIKE SINCE MY FIRST YEAR IOF DERMATOLOGY PRACTICE IN 1966. BEFORE I EVER MET HIM I KNEW HE WAS A DEARLY LOVED PHYSICIAN. BECAUSE THE CONFIDENCE THAT HIS PATIENTS PLACED IN HIM WERE ALWAYS IMMMEDIATELY TRANSFERED TO ME. WE OFTEN CHATTED ON THE PHONE AND LAIUGHED TOGETHER AT MANY MEDICAL DINNERS WHEN I WAS ON STAFF AT KENNDY HOSPITAL. HE WAS A TRUE GENTLEMAN AND A GENTLE MAN. HE SENT ME MIKE DECOSMO TO OBSERVE IN MY OFFICE WHEN HE WAS A MED STUDENT. HE SAID MIKE WANTED BADLY TO BE A DERMATOLOGIST. BUT THERE WERE NO DERM RESIDENCIES IN THE AREA AT THAT TIME. I WAS SO IMPRESSED WITH MIKE DE COSMO THAT I SPONSORED HIM TO BE A RESIDENT AT TEMPLE SKIN AND CANCER. THE FIRST D.O. TO BE TRAINED IN AN M.D. HOSPITAL FOR DERM IN THIS AREA.. ALL BECAUSE OF YOUR MIKES INTERVENTION. WHEN YOUR BELOVED MIKE CONSULTED MY SON NICK ON JANUARY 11, NICK SENT ME A PHOTO OF MIKE IN THE OFFICE ON MY CELL PHONE. I WAS SO SAD TO HEAR THAT HE LOST HIS FIGHT AGAINST HIS LONG MEDICAL SIEGE JUST 11 DAYS LATER. MIKE WAS A DOCTORS DOCTOR. HE KEPT UP WITH MEDICAL ADVANCES AND WENT TO EXTREMES TO BE CERTAIN THAT HIS PATIENTS RECEIVED THE BEST CARE. IT WAS MY PRIVILEDGE TO HAVE KNOWN HIM. I CAN ONLY LEAVE YOU ALL WITH THIS ONE CONSOLING THOUGHT........MICHAEL IS NOW FREE OF ALL HIS DISCOMFORTS...... HE IS NOW WERE WE ALL SOME DAY PRAY TO BE...........WITH HIS LOVING GOD.
